This illustration was done as an entry for Ravinia Festival’s 2023 Poster Competition with the theme “Turn up the Joy”. Experimenting with abstract shapes to represent sonic waves, this illustration aimed to represent the connections we make through music. When creating this piece multiple color studies were made to explore how the color would affect the mood of the illustration, the final iteration settling on a cool-toned palette with warm pinks at the center to draw the viewer to the focal point.
